WWE Raw results, winners and marks on Samantha Irvin's exit

WWE Raw results, winners and marks on Samantha Irvin's exit

WWE Raw promoted its ongoing #1 Contender Tag Team Tournament with The New Day vs. AOP and Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee vs. American Made. Raw also promoted Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed themselves and a main event between Jey Uso and Bron Breakker.

Raw's lineup was overshadowed by the seemingly amicable split between popular ring announcer Samantha Irvin and the WWE. “WWE Universe, my time as your WWE Raw ring announcer has come to an end,” Irvin said in a tweet on Monday. “I love you all more than anything and that doesn’t mean the end of my art, I still have a lifetime to share with you.”

Irvin's WWE departure led to immediate (and inevitable) speculation that she might be tied to AEW. AEW is reportedly adding a new “A show” in Shockwave and recently saw a significant increase in revenue by renewing television rights with WBD.

Last week's broadcast of WWE Raw reached 1.538 million viewers.

Brawl between Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed

Raw started cold with Seth Rollins calling out Bronson Reed. Rollins has been wearing black lately and acting very subdued. Reed got the better of Seth Rollins and looked like a bigger star in their brawl, which saw Bronson hit a WWE official on Rollins like an inbounds pass. Rollins actually briefly escaped the brawl.

The fans continued to sing Rollins' song, but I sense discord between Rollins and Reed.

The brawl between Reed and Rollins continued backstage in a separate segment, right after Jackie Redmond asked Adam Pearce how he planned to keep everything under control.

The new day Def. AOP

Lilian Garcia was on camera to introduce The New Day, making the end of the Samantha Irvin era official.

Should The New Day lose this match, especially with The Miz sneaking up on the ring? Xavier Woods' seemingly inevitable heel turn should be saved for a big moment. Hopefully this moment turns into a big singles match at Survivor Series.

Miz wore all black and sunglasses while chatting with The Final Testament. Hopefully Miz's character development goes beyond just wearing black suits.

R-Truth's interruption led to The New Day winning via rollup. When Final Testament Truth attacked, Woods stopped Kofi Kingston from rescuing his former co-tag team champion. This brought the Wyatt Sicks to great success.

Of note, Paul Ellering pushed The Miz out of the way to sacrifice himself while Ellering took a Mandible Claw.

The New Day vs. AOP Grade: B+

Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan vs. Schaden CTRL ends in DQ

This match came about when Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez interrupted a Damage CTRL promo. Liv laughed several times. Her laughter is slowly becoming a meme.

lash Legend and Jakara Jackson were at ringside and it felt like they were The Culture's answer to Liv and Raquel. This was particularly evident when Lash faced Rodriguez while Ms. Jackson faced Morgan.

Ripley entered the ring and fought Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. This brought Dom out and Ripley trapped him in a prism trap. There was a lot of heat for Ripley and Dom's physicality.

Backstage, Reed and Rollins argued for the third time when an angry Adam Pearce made their match for Crown Jewel official.

Judgment Day vs. Damage CTRL Grade: B

LWO Def. Made in America

LWO's Lucha style blended perfectly with the Groud, the Pound and the magnificence of the Creeds. At one point, the Creeds hit two consecutive suplexes, but Brutus's was more impressive because it came from the second rope.

The fans really got into it during Rey Mysterio's incredibly hot gag, which ended with a 619 and a splash from Dragon Lee for the win.

American Made has all the talent and charisma to be one of WWE's top contenders, but unfortunately they have spent most of their alliance losing.

LWO vs. American Made Grade: A-

Bron Breakker Def. Jey Uso

Backstage, while Bron Breakker waited, WWE continued to tease Damian Priest vs. GUNTHER. Dominik Mysterio will face a former world champion next week in an attempt to secure a shot at GUNTHER's world title. There's a good chance the man will become a priest.

Jey Uso performed through the entrance as WWE did not have time for an entrance through the crowd during the two-hour era.

Breakker had a highlight reel performance early on, including a standing moonsault.

The fans seemed a little exhausted, even though this was the main event of a two-hour Raw.

Earlier in the night, WWE aired footage of Jey's appearance on SmackDown. Since Jey Uso didn't choose a side on SmackDown last Friday, I think there would be more drama if the Bloodline helped Jey retain his title.

As if on cue, The Bloodline entered the ring. Solo Sikoa had Jey Uso's t-shirt and tickets to Raw. Sikoa told Jey that he was trying to help Jey win. Tonga Loa tried to encourage Jey, but Jey superkicked both Tonga and Tama.

Solo sacrificed a spear from Bron for Jey, then the fans went wild when Breakker and Fatu duel. Fatu superkicked Jey as he was about to attack a spear, and that opened the door for Breakker to regain the WWE IC Title.
