Will mail be delivered on Election Day? Is the post office open on election day? Yes and yes.

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor night darkness nor election day can stop the post office.

Because Election Day is not a federal holiday, post offices will be open and mail will be delivered.

But whatever you do, don't send an absentee ballot in the mail on Tuesday. There is absolutely no way it will be delivered and counted on time. According to the United States Postal Service, it should have been mailed by October 29th. The Michigan Secretary of State's Office recommended even earlier – on October 22nd.

You can still return your mail-in ballot by mailbox or drop it in the tabulator at your polling place.

So go to the post office if necessary and check your mail on Election Day. It might be your last chance to enjoy all these election mailers for a while.
