Election Day is Tuesday, and while many people will be focused on getting to their polling places and casting their vote, others will be focused on regular errands like picking up dry cleaning or going to the bank. Although Election Day is not a federal holiday, it is still observed as such in some states. Many state offices will be closed and 24 states and the District of Columbia are offering paid leave to vote. Other states allow elective leave, but without pay.
