Why Kate Middleton 'threw her hands up in disgust' over Prince Harry: expert

After her battle with cancer, Kate Middleton's final concern is being a peacemaker between Prince William and Prince Harry.

Christopher Andersen, the author of “The King,” spoke to Fox News about the relationship between the princess and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, saying that the couple was not on Kate's radar.

“The idea that Kate somehow still has the time and energy to continue playing peacemaker is nonsense,” Andersen told Fox News. “She tried for years and finally threw up her hands in disgust. She made her contribution, but it was not enough to build a bridge between William and Charles on the one hand and Harry on the other.”

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said that Kate, 42, is “totally at peace” with her husband Prince William, 42, and is tired of dealing with the feud between the siblings.

“Harry portrayed her as cold and dismissive of (his wife) Meghan Markle in (his memoir) 'Spare,' as he painted an extremely damaging picture of the royal family,” Fitzwilliams told Fox News. “The memoir will soon be published in paperback and his allegations will resurface, although fortunately he will not be expanding the volume or promoting it. He knows exactly how damaging it was.”

Instead of focusing her time on the royal brothers, Kate will focus her time on returning to royal duties as she prioritizes her health.

“We have recently seen encouraging signs of Catherine’s recovery,” he said. “Her focus, as she said, is on being 'cancer free.'” The Welsh family has had an extremely difficult year. She has completed her preventative chemotherapy. William has been hugely supportive of some royal engagements… (But) Catherine will want to avoid anything that promotes negative energy.”

In early September, Kate announced that she had finished chemotherapy and was now “cancer-free.”

“I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” the Princess of Wales wrote in a statement on X, formerly Twitter, at the time.

“My focus now is on doing what I can to stay cancer-free. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my road to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.”

After stepping down as an active royal and leaving the United Kingdom in 2020, Harry had a strained relationship with his family.

Since his departure, Harry, 40, has given a series of interviews and revealed how unstable his family relationships are.

Many details come from his 2023 memoir “Spare,” in which Harry is particularly open about his arguments with his brother and father, King Charles.

Back in June, Harry and Meghan Markle, 43, reportedly contacted Kate before she made a rare appearance at the Trooping the Color ceremony.

“Both Harry and Meghan have followed Kate's recovery with great interest, but unfortunately this has had to be done more remotely as their lines of communication with the palace and particularly the Waleses are minimal to say the least,” a source told Closer.

“They've reached out together to send well wishes, but they're still not really able to warrant any significant response from Kate,” the source said, adding that this “hasn't stopped them from being in touch.” to record.” ”

The source went on to say that Meghan has made it clear that she is ready to “put all the nonsense behind her and find a path to healing for the good of everyone.”

“She's ready to let go of the anger and bitterness,” the insider added.

The Duke of Sussex, meanwhile, visited London in May to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

Due to his father's “busy schedule,” Harry hasn't met with this estranged family, although some say there won't be a reconciliation any time soon.

“I've always said there's a possibility, but as time goes on and the more we hear and see, I think a reunion between them is becoming less and less likely,” former royal butler Grant Harrold told The Post in May. “I always thought Kate was the one between them who broke things up because she had a good relationship with Harry.”

“However, I think this is becoming increasingly unlikely as time goes on,” Harrold continued.

Andersen had also claimed that William would not let Harry “near his sick wife.”

Kinsey Schofield, host of the “To Di For Daily” podcast, told Fox News that Harry and Meghan are irrelevant to the future king and queen because Kate is putting her energy “on her health and her family.”

“Even if Catherine is currently safe… the reality is that cancer has taken a toll on King Charles,” Schofield claimed, referring to the 75-year-old monarch, who is also battling cancer.

Although Buckingham Palace has not specified what type of cancer the royal was diagnosed with, he will reportedly pause his treatment for 11 days for his royal tour of Australia next week.

King Charles will set off on the journey on October 18, along with his wife Queen Camilla and a traveling doctor. They plan to visit Sydney and Canberra and then travel to Samoa, where the King will attend his first Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
