ESPN's “College GameDay” will be on site Saturday to welcome the Oklahoma football team to the SEC.

GameDay comes to Norman for a Top 20 SEC matchup between the No. 13 Sooners and No. 7 Tennessee. This matchup will be the conference season opener for both teams and the first game for OU in the SEC after being eliminated from the Big 12 last season. This matchup will pit two 3-0 teams against each other, which will have implications not only for conference standings, but potentially for the expanded College Football Playoff.

The Sooners avoided a potential upset attempt by Tulane last week with a 34-19 win. A pick-six by Jackson Arnold brought the Green Wave within five points of Oklahoma early in the fourth quarter before Arnold scored on a 24-yard touchdown run with six minutes left to win the game. The sophomore finished the game completing 18 of 29 passes for 169 yards, one touchdown and one interception, and rushed for 97 yards and two runs.

Tennessee is coming off a 71-0 victory over Kent State in which the Vols broke a program record for most points scored. Quarterback Nico Iamaleava looks like a potential Heisman Trophy contender, while running backs Dylan Sampson and DeSean Bishop showed off their ability to make big plays, combining for six touchdowns.
