The 2024 presidential election is officially here and polls are opening across the Delaware Valley. When polls open and close varies slightly from state to state, so it's important to keep this in mind know when you can vote and where to vote on election day.

Here's what voters in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware need to know before they go to their polls on Tuesday, November 4th.

When do polls open in Pennsylvania?

On Election Day, polling stations in Pennsylvania are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you stand in line by 8 p.m., you can vote.

Pennsylvania voters who received an absentee or absentee ballot for the 2024 election must return those completed ballots to their county elections office by Tuesday, November 5, at 8:00 p.m.

Where do I vote in Pennsylvania?

Voters in Pennsylvania can find their polling place using the state's online search tool. To find your polling place, you will need the following information:

  • The county in which you are registered to vote
  • Your address (city, street name, house number, zip code)

When do polls open in New Jersey?

Polls in New Jersey are open on Election Day from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Residents who vote by mail must have their ballots postmarked no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day and received by their county board of elections no later than six days after Election Day. Ballots may also be placed in secure ballot drop boxes or dropped off at the county Board of Elections office until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

Where do I vote in New Jersey?

The New Jersey Division of Elections has an online tool you can use to find your polling place. Voters simply need to provide their street address and zip code to be directed to their polling place.

Polls in Delaware are open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Delaware voters using mail-in ballots must return them to their county elections office by November 5, 2024 at 8:00 p.m.
