Election Day is here as voters will head to the polls on Tuesday, November 5th to voice their opinions on the presidential election, which features former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as many other state and federal races participate at local level.

If you plan to vote in person, it's important to know where your polling place is and when it opens. Most states open their local polling places at 7 a.m., but some begin voting as early as 5 a.m. or as late as 10 a.m

This information all depends on which state you live in, and sometimes even your county or municipality. The closing time of your polling station may also depend on these factors.

In which state do polls close first on Election Day?

Both Indiana and Kentucky close their polls at 6:00 p.m. local time (note: each state partially observes both Eastern Time and Central Time), which is the earliest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
