A beautiful fall day with lots of sunshine awaits around Colorado Springs on Tuesday.

“A few showers and storms will be possible in the mountains, particularly along the Continental Divide, late in the day,” KOAA 5 affiliate meteorologist Katie LaSalle told Denver7. “Colorado Springs and the Plains remain dry, with gusty winds at times and highs in the 70s.”

LaSalle said it will be cooler tonight, with lows falling into the mid and upper 30s in the lower Arkansas River Valley and areas of frost possible through early Wednesday morning.

The wind will increase on Wednesday.
