Weather in Maryland: Most of the week it rains on and off

BALTIMORE — Today is forecast to be a lot of clouds and occasional showers. Morning temperatures will be around 18 degrees and we'll have a hard time moving out of here. Highs will be mostly in the upper 18 degrees, with some spots reaching the low 21 degrees. Showers will become more frequent during the afternoon and evening. A few isolated thunderstorms are also possible in the evening.

COASTAL FLOOD WARNING ccontinues through 5 a.m. Tuesday for Anne Arundel County. MODERATE flooding will continue at high tide. Coastal flooding may continue through the middle of this week.

COASTAL FLOOD WARNING ccontinues through Tuesday morning for Baltimore City, southeastern Baltimore and Harford counties, and all counties on our east coast. At high tide between now and Tuesday morning, up to 1 foot of water is possible in the bay above dry bottom.

Rain chances will continue for most of this week, along with plenty of clouds. While neither day looks like a shower, the best chance is for some more consistent rain, possibly some thunderstorms, later Wednesday into Thursday morning. Another front could bring us an additional round of showers on Friday.

This week temperatures will start off cool, but will warm up to just over 27 degrees on Thursday and Friday.

We'll have to keep an eye on a tropical system developing along the Gulf Coast this week. The future path of this storm will determine potential impacts on Maryland. Stay tuned.
