Three straight wins over Purdue, Rutgers and Northwestern is nothing to celebrate in the Big Ten these days. But if the Wisconsin Badgers can extend the series to four games on Saturday night, the party in Madison won't stop well into Sunday.

The Badgers host No. 3 Penn State in a nationally televised game under the lights of Camp Randall Stadium. Fans are about to find out if the Badgers are ready for prime time.

The numbers say UW is on the verge of an upset as the Nittany Lions have won the last five games between the teams.

To accomplish that, the Badgers will need to at least contain Penn State tight end Tyler Warren. In the Nittany Lions' last game two weeks ago, Warren had 17 catches for 224 yards and two touchdowns in a 33-30 win at USC, helping them to a second straight 6-0 start.

Offensively, the Badgers could have success on the ground. They ran for 199 yards and two touchdowns in a 23-3 win over Northwestern last week. Penn State allowed 189 rushing yards to the Trojans.

Wisconsin vs. Penn State Predictions, Tips, Odds

Mark Stewart: It seems the deeper we get into the season, the less we know. Teams that we thought were really good have been struggling lately, and teams that had a slow start are gaining momentum. That's where the Badgers are. I'm worried about UW's pass defense, but overall I like how the team is performing in all three phases of the game. Penn State survived close contests against Bowling Green and USC. Not this week. Wisconsin 24, Penn State 20.

JR Radcliffe: Wisconsin is in much better shape than the last time it played a team this good when it hosted Alabama. Furthermore, it's not as if Penn State has completely dominated its schedule, at least not to the extent that the “No. 3 team in the country” would be expected. It's still a daunting task for the Badgers to win this game. Tight end Tyler Warren is a real problem that I don't think UW will always have an answer to. Penn State has some off-field issues this week and is prone to hiccups if it misses a bye under James Franklin; Bring a night game atmosphere to Camp Randall and it's an ideal laboratory for Wisconsin to pull off an upset. I just don't know if it can do it. Will sticking around be enough to satisfy the fan base? Penn State 24, Wisconsin 20.
