Washington Commanders RB misses rest of game against Bengals

Washington Commanders RB misses rest of game against Bengals

The Washington Commanders offense, led by rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, is definitely prime-time news, with four touchdowns giving them a 28-13 third-quarter lead over the Cincinnati Bengals.

However, one key player had to leave the game early due to injury. Midway through the third quarter, Ekeler went to the sideline for a quick check-up before heading to the locker room for further evaluation due to a possible concussion.

Shortly thereafter, the star running back was ruled out of the game. He managed three runs for 35 yards, including a 24-yard touchdown, and also managed a 62-yard kick return – the longest of his career – which ultimately led to a touchdown.

The duo of Ekeler and running back Brian Robinson Jr. proved their worth in the primetime game, as both scored a touchdown. It's certainly unfortunate that Ekeler's night was so short, but he made a big impact on the game and gave the team new momentum.

With a lead, it's best to play it safe and count on the rookie quarterback to close the game out. A prime-time road win would be a huge advantage for Washington.
