USMNT vs Mexico, 2024 Friendly: Community Player Ratings

USMNT vs Mexico, 2024 Friendly: Community Player Ratings

Mauricio Pochettino learned about the rivalry between the USA and Mexico in a friendly match, with a lot of resentment, heavy fouls and palpable dislike between the two teams. Mexico were dominant for much of the first half while the US struggled to position or build before Raul Jimenez opened the scoring with a fantastic shot from just outside the box after an Aiden Morris foul. Matt Turner managed to get his fingertips on the ball but was unable to fire the ball into the top right corner. The U.S. allowed a second goal shortly into the second half after another loss of possession and shaky defense. There weren't many bright spots on the night as the USA struggled to establish possession and only recorded one shot on goal on the night, making it somewhat difficult to identify the man of the match and presumably leading to low player scores.

However, instead of giving you our player ratings, we want to know what you think. Below is a rating form you can fill out with ratings for each USMNT player's performance. After a day/night of voting, we will tabulate the ratings and publish them, with the highest rated player being named Stars and Stripes FC Man of the Match. Feel free to head to the comments section and leave your thoughts on the game as a whole or give a detailed explanation of your reviews.
