Quarterback Sam Darnold has been outstanding for the Vikings in head coach Kevin O'Connell's offense, throwing 12 touchdowns and five interceptions entering Week 8. Minnesota's defense ranks first in defensive DVOA on FTN tonight.

The Rams come into “Thursday Night Football” with a win after defeating the Las Vegas Raiders 20-15 in Week 7. The Rams' offense has struggled without their dynamic duo of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, but Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford will have backup as Kupp returns.

These NFC opponents have met 47 times in history, including seven playoff games. The Vikings lead the all-time game with a record of 27-18-2.

The last game took place in December 2021 in Week 16, when the Rams won 30-23 on the road in Minnesota. The win helped carry the Rams' momentum into the final two weeks of the season and into the playoffs, where they ultimately won the Super Bowl over the Bengals.

Andrew Marchand of the New York Post initially reported that Michaels' contract would be for three years and “more than $30 million,” but that number may have increased.

About a week after that initial report, in March 2022, Marchand shared that the Amazon deal would be “in Joe Buck's neighborhood.” Buck signed a five-year, $75 million ($15 million per year) contract with ESPN earlier that same month.

We have a complete list at each position:

According to OverTheCap.com, the NFL's top 18 players with average annual salary are all quarterbacks. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott became the league's highest-paid player in the preseason, agreeing to a four-year, $240 million contract. Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has become the first non-quarterback to join the list of highest-paid players after signing a four-year, $140 million contract extension this offseason.

INGLEWOOD, Calif. – The Rams get their two wide receivers back on Thursday night.

Puka Nacua is officially active against the Minnesota Vikings, the Rams announced.

Nacua's 21-day training window officially opened this week. The Rams then activated Nacua as a substitute a few hours before Thursday's game, setting the stage for his return.

The Rams placed Nacua on injured reserve following the team's loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 1 due to a knee injury. He has missed the last five competitions.

Los Angeles will also see the return of wide receiver Cooper Kupp, who has missed the last four games. Nacua and Kupp have only played in one game together this season. — Tyler Dragon
