Trump and Harris should be with the stars; Latest polls

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have spent months courting key swing-state voters who could ultimately decide the election. On Friday, Trump will return to one of those states and hold a rally in Traverse City, Michigan. He will also be doing an interview with Joe Rogan on his hugely popular podcast.

Harris is expected to appear at a rally in Houston, Texas on Friday. The Lone Star State is widely expected to ultimately vote for Trump, but the vice president is expected to take the stage alongside Beyoncé to support Democratic Senate candidate Colin Allred, who is trying to unseat Republican Sen. Ted Cruz.

New poll shows peer pressure could be key to mobilizing young voters

From podcast appearances to celebrity endorsements, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have pulled out all the stops in the final days of the 2024 presidential campaign to attract young voters to the polls.

For Harris, these efforts appear to be working.

The Harvard Youth Poll released Friday showed Harris leading Trump by 20 points nationally among registered voters under 30. In the seven big swing states – Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Nevada and Wisconsin – where the race became more competitive, Harris' lead fell to 9 points.

When will Trump appear on Joe Rogan's podcast?

Former President Donald Trump will appear on podcast giant “The Joe Rogan Experience” on Friday. As Politico reports, Rogan will interview Trump at his studio in Austin, Texas.

This would be Trump's first appearance on Rogan's hugely popular podcast. Vice President Kamala Harris also has her own podcast appearances, including one from Alex Cooper on “Call Her Daddy.”

The polls released Thursday confirm what has been clear for weeks: It's an incredibly close race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. The portion of the electorate influenced by candidates is shrinking as more people across the country head to the polls to vote early.

Trump led Harris by two percentage points in a Wall Street Journal poll released Thursday, within the poll's margin of error. However, in Tipp's tracking poll, Harris was ahead of Trump by three percentage points.

Harris will be in the Republican state of Texas. She will join Senate candidate Colin Allred at a rally in Houston focused on the loss of reproductive freedom, a key issue in both candidates' campaigns.

Harris is expected to be accompanied at the campaign stop by Houston-born global star Beyoncé.
