Tom Holland gives big update on “Spider-Man 4”: “The idea is crazy”

Tom Holland gives fans a big update on his upcoming fourth Spider-Man film.

“All I can tell you is that it's happening,” Holland said on “Good Morning America” ​​Wednesday when asked about the latest news for his iconic web-slinging Marvel superhero and, at the same time, his new non-alcoholic beer, Bero advertises.

Holland said they had been working on the film's concept but now felt it was “strong enough” to move forward and announced that filming would begin next summer.

“The idea is crazy,” he teased. “It’s a little different than anything we’ve done before, but I think the fans will really respond to it.”

Holland also shared his reaction to the news that former Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Victor von Doom, aka Doctor Doom, saying he was “obviously pleased.”

In the upcoming Spider-Man 4, Holland will be back in his Spider-Man suit for the first time since 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home as he teams up with former Spider-Man cast member Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield teamed up.

Holland has played the character in several ensemble MCU films, first in Captain America: Civil War (2016) and most notably in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers Endgame (2019).

His other solo appearances include Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019).
