As the campaign for the 2024 US presidential election reaches its final stage before the vote, Republican candidate Donald Trump and his Democratic rival Kamala Harris are preparing for a crucial showdown in the crucial swing state of Pennsylvania.

News agency Associate Press reported that incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris will devote her final day of campaigning to Pennsylvania, while Donald Trump will hold four rallies in three states – Raleigh, North Carolina, and two key stops in Pennsylvania – Reading and Pittsburgh.

On the eve of Election Day, Kamala Harris took to the streets of Pennsylvania and interacted with voters through canvassing in Reading, where she visited local homes to engage with residents.

She also drove hours to meet three supporters at a dorm who were eagerly awaiting her arrival.

Kamala Harris used her visit to Reading not only as an opportunity to campaign, but also to highlight her commitment to the community. She showed her appreciation for the local culture by visiting a Puerto Rican restaurant.

Kamala Harris was joined by Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as she warmly chatted with guests at the Old San Juan Café.

Donald Trump's final push into Pennsylvania

As Trump spoke in what was probably the last time before the election results were announced in Pennsylvania, he heated up the crowd in Reading.

“If we win Pennsylvania, we win the whole ball of wax,” Trump said.

Trump's final day of campaigning began in North Carolina, then he traveled to Reading before heading to Pittsburgh and finally concluding his campaign in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the same place where he ended his previous campaigns in 2016 and 2020.

As the fifth most populous state, Pennsylvania has 19 decisive electoral votes and is the largest of the seven key swing states. Both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are leaving no stone unturned to secure this battleground, underscoring its importance in the election campaign.
