The Packers called attention to numerous mistakes on social media

The Green Bay Packers significantly surpassed the Detroit Lions in total yards on Sunday afternoon.

Unfortunately there were also yards due to the yellow flags.

The Packers gained 411 yards on offense but were also penalized 10 times in an ugly 24-14 loss to the NFC North leaders. They had their only turnover of the game (an interception by Jordan Love that was returned for a touchdown).

In other words, it's hard to beat one of the best teams in the NFL if you're also beating yourself.

It was the Lions' first outdoor game Sunday, but the visitors played a much cleaner game on the sodden turf at Lambeau Field.

Meanwhile, the Packers wreaked havoc of their own. They suffered from bad snaps, dropped passes and way too many rule violations. You can't expect to beat a team as talented as the Lions if you keep slipping in the game.
