The Eagles lose star receiver AJ Brown to a knee injury in the win against the Jags

PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown was forced to miss Sunday's 28-23 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars because of a knee injury.

After his last catch of the game late in the first half, Brown was slow to get back to his feet. He had two catches for 36 yards before being ejected in the second half at Lincoln Financial Field.

Coach Nick Sirianni had no update on Brown's status after the game.

“It's always hard when he goes down because he's such a dynamic player, such a big part of this team and this offense,” said fellow wide receiver DeVonta Smith. “If he goes down, I kind of feel like I have to step up. For me, I’m always up for the challenge.”

Brown missed three games earlier this year with a hamstring injury. He has two 100-yard receiving games this season and entered Sunday with 21 catches for 408 yards and three touchdowns.

Brown had 106 catches for 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns for the Eagles last season and has been one of the top receivers in the NFL since his rookie year with Tennessee in 2019.

Brown signed a three-year contract extension with the Eagles in April that included $84 million in guaranteed money.
