Temperatures continue to cool on Saturday, perfect weekend for the pumpkin patch

Temperatures continue to cool on Saturday, perfect weekend for the pumpkin patch

Sunset winds will be just below recommended strength along the Gaviota coast Saturday and will strengthen Friday afternoon. Winds will continue to be breezy across the region, bringing cooler air to the coast.

The cooling trend will also continue inland over the weekend. The marine layer will continue throughout the weekend, extending into valley areas at times. Poor visibility and light fog are expected in the evening.

It will continue to clear quickly, although beaches will remain hazy throughout the day. Temperatures on Saturday will be very similar, with a degree or two of cooling, 70 degrees on the beaches, 80 degrees in the valleys and 80 degrees inland.

Saturday and Sunday offer perfect conditions for going to the pumpkin patch in Solvang or celebrating fall festivals. Further cooling continues into the work week as temperatures continue to gradually cool. A trough of low pressure will descend during the second half of next week, bringing with it a slight chance for drizzle. Although the likelihood is very low, it will still be possible for conditions to feel like fall and be on the cooler side
