Both Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber return from injury to take their place in the starting lineup at the Emirates Stadium.

Saka has missed our last two games after suffering a hamstring injury on international duty and Timber has recovered from a groin problem after sitting out the last three games.

However, we will be without both Riccardo Calafiori, who left injured against Shakhtar Donetsk, and William Saliba, who is suspended for one game for his red card against Bournemouth.

This means the back four will consist of Thomas Partey, Ben White, Gabriel and Timber – ahead of David Raya in goal.

Declan Rice is joined in midfield by Mikel Merino and Leandro Trossard, with Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz in front of the front line.

Saka takes the armband as Martin Odegaard is still unavailable.

The visitors will be without Diogo Jota, who sustained an injury in the last league game against Chelsea. He will be replaced by Darwin Nunez. They make two more changes from the 2-1 win: Alexis Mac Allister replaces Dominic Szoboszlai and Luis Diaz comes in for Cody Gakpo.

Arsenal: Raya, Partey, White, Gabriel, Timber, Rice, Merino, Trossard, Saka, Martinelli, Havertz. Substitutes: Neto, Zinchenko, Kiwior, Nichols, Myles-Skelly, Jorginho, Nwaneri, Sterling, Jesus.

Liverpool: Kelleher, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson, Jones, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Diaz, Salah, Nunez. Substitutes: Jaros, Davies, Gomez, Endo, Szoboszlai, Gakpo, Tsimikas, Quansah, Morton.
