Ahead of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's appearance at Sunday's Pittsburgh Steelers game, two franchise legends and the family of another supported his opponent.

Jerome Bettis, “Mean” Joe Greene and the family of the late Franco Harris all publicly supported Democrat Kamala Harris on Sunday.

“I know this city and I love this city – we work hard to make things happen. No hot air. “And it’s time we elect a leader who will fight for us. Someone who rolls up their sleeves and gets the job done. Not just complaining about it in a half-empty stadium. There is only one person in this race who fits this bill: Vice President Kamala Harris.

The family of late running back Franco Harris added: “Hard work and integrity are the foundation of Western Pennsylvania and values instilled in me by my father. He taught me that true greatness comes from being part of a team.” Leadership is defined by the actions taken to help the entire team succeed. He would be honored to support Vice President Kamala Harris because she shares this belief. She represents the ideals my father stood for: improving education, building good jobs, supporting unions and making sure everyone gets a fair chance.

“You definitely got my vote,” Greene added.
