Indian cricket star Virat Kohli arrived in Kanpur on Tuesday ahead of the second Test against Bangladesh. As expected, he was greeted by a huge crowd at the hotel and the staff too lined up to meet and greet the cricket icon. It is nothing new that so many people gather to catch a glimpse of top cricketers like Virat Kohli but players sometimes feel uncomfortable seeing a horde of people. Virat faced a similar situation when he arrived at the hotel in Kanpur.

One of the hotel staff presented Kohli with a bouquet of flowers while another tried to shake his hand. But the cricketer left one staff member baffled when he said:Sir, do you have that? (Sir, I have only two hands).” Virat then walked away from the crowd and thanked everyone.

Virat did not have the best performance as India defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs in the first Test at Chepauk.

Kohli had a poor batting run in Chennai, hitting 6 and 17 in the two innings. He lost his wicket to Bangladeshi pacer Hasan Mahmud and then to spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz in the second innings.

India's head coach Gautam Gambhir and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant also arrived at the team hotel in Kanpur along with Virat.

Gambhir's tenure as head coach in the Test format began on a triumphant note. In his first Test match as India's head coach, the hosts recorded a memorable victory by 280 points at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Pant announced his return to Test cricket with an astonishing 109-run knock in the second innings. His aggressive batting combined with a defensive performance that made things difficult for the Bangladeshi bowlers triggered a wave of nostalgia among Indian fans.

On his return, he made a promising start in the first innings, scoring 39 off 52 deliveries. He lost his wicket to the in-form Hasan Mahmud.
