Melania Trump made a rare public appearance alongside her husband Donald Trump as they traveled to West Palm Beach, Florida to cast their votes. Although she strongly supported her husband, the former first lady's outing sparked new controversy. Social media users speculated that a “body double” may have been present. The reason for these theories is because Melania refused to take off her sunglasses in the house, which further fueled the rumors.

Melania Trump stepped out in a polka dot floor-length dress paired with black heels and oversized sunglasses as she accompanied her husband Donald Trump to vote. Although she smiled for the cameras, her appearance raised suspicion among some observers. The former first lady's refusal to answer media questions, coupled with her distinctive outfit, quickly caused her to trend on social media and many to speculate about her presence.

Comparing the former model's Election Day video to another old image, one user wrote, “Are the sunglasses Melania is wearing today the real Melania or the fake Melania aka Margo Martin, Trump's press secretary?”

Another added: “Voting for convicted felons is illegal.” Wearing a MAGA hat while voting…illegal. Making Melania vote for her twice…illegal.”

One user pointed out: “I don’t think that’s Melania. Her complexion is more olive. It is highlighted around the face.

One claimed: “The real Melania is in New York with Barron, isn't she?” This isn't the real Melania. If true. It’s election fraud!!”

One user asked, “Why is Trump using fake Melania today?”

Users even pointed out their physical differences in facial features, body measurements, and behavior.

What's noteworthy is that this is not the first time that the former first lady has been confronted with the body doubling conspiracy theories. In recent years, many have clung to the belief that Melania uses a body double in her public appearances, claiming that she is either “dead” or has decided to stay out of the public eye. She also largely stayed away from Trump's campaign, with the exception of the Republican National Convention and the MSG event.

As the “false” theories gained traction, Melania Trump’s social media accounts were updated with posts confirming her voice. She also shared a picture of Barron Trump, the couple's son. “Voted for the first time – for his father!” she wrote.
