Roman Reigns captured in battle for bloodline

Roman Reigns captured in battle for bloodline

The WWE civil war between the original Bloodline and The Bloodline 2.0 reached its climax at Crown Jewel 2024, but it was Solo Sikoa's crew that left Saudi Arabia with the first victory in the battle – and Roman Reigns shockingly snatched victory .

In a six-man tag team match that pitted Reigns and the reunited Usos against Sikoa, Tama Tonga and Jacon, the end of the bout marked one of the most surprising results in recent WWE history, according to “The OTC.” a barrage was clearly pinned down by Samoan spikes from Sikoa. For Sikoa it was the biggest victory of his career. For Reigns, it was a devastating loss that no one expected.

But rest assured, the Bloodline saga is far from over, and with Reigns' surprise defeat, another major clash is likely in store for the faction split in half.

The ultimate goal? Survivor Series: WarGames in Vancouver in just four weeks.

The highly anticipated event is widely expected to be the scene of a full-scale war – pun intended – between Reigns' Bloodline and Sikoa's version of the group. The match will seemingly feature all of the stars that just competed at Crown Jewel, with just a few additional big stars and the sadistic WarGames structure serving as a playground for the stars involved.

Paul Heyman, one of the key figures in The Bloodline saga, is adamant that WWE is still in the early stages of a story that began back in 2020. Given the constant twists fans have seen over this time period, there's reason to believe there's more to come.

WWE fans got a bit of a surprise in Saudi Arabia when Reigns grabbed an incredibly rare pin, and the next twist will likely come in the weeks leading up to Survivor Series: WarGames.

Finally, there are numerous rotating parts that come in and out of this storyline or are in the process of doing so. With Sami Zayn showing up in Saudi Arabia after the match to help Reigns and the Usos, will that lead to the reformation of the original bloodline with Zayn? Will the recent duel between Jacob Fatu and Bron Breakker – which surprised even WWE officials – lead to Breakker joining Reigns' side? Will The Rock come back and wrestle one more time before WrestleMania, perhaps at Survivor Series?

The fact that WWE fans can ask so many questions about a storyline is a tell-tale sign that it's working almost perfectly.

There were so many notable moments at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia that hinted at future plans for The Bloodline, such as Reigns' clear defeat and Zayn's accidental takeover of our Reigns after the match. That's why this saga has been running at full speed for almost half a decade. There is no wasted movement and virtually everything seems to have a purpose.

The Rock's recent return, Heyman's absence and expected return, the Usos' shaky reunion and Zayn's involvement are just a few factors to consider that could impact the path to Survivor Series and the expected rosters in a huge WarGames match. A potential blockbuster fight could look something like this: Sikoa, Loa, Tonga, Fatu and The Rock versus Reigns, the Usos, Breakker and Zayn in an incredibly star-studded bout.

Perhaps some details may change in the coming weeks, but all signs point to a massive and highly anticipated WarGames duel that could go down as one of the most important matches in The Bloodline's long and storied history.

Given the outcome in Saudi Arabia, where Reigns lost and his version of The Bloodline didn't live up to all expectations, it's a safe bet that WWE will spend the next few weeks trying to get Reigns' faction up to speed. It's a simple story that should lead to a WarGames match and a full Bloodline reunion.

But it will take some work to get there.
