Boxer Artur Beterbiev is the undisputed light heavyweight world champion. However, some people might disagree with the “non-controversial” label.

One of those who disagree is Ryan Garcia, who believes that Dmitry Bivol should have won this fight against Artur Beterbiev this weekend in what is considered one of the most important duels in boxing history, pitting two undefeated boxers against each other and their titles are at stake. And he blames the judges!

Ryan Garcia is convinced that Dmitry Bivol was robbed when he lost an MD to Artur Beterbiev in an undisputed fight for the light heavyweight world title.

The leading WBO, IBF and WBC 175-pound champion captured the WBA title to add to his collection, overwhelming Dmitry Bivol by majority decision after 12 thrilling rounds of fighting. For long periods of the game, Beterbiev pushed for the action, but Bivol countered skillfully and it was not always clear who was winning the balls.

Ultimately, one referee deemed the match a draw, while two judges ruled in favor of Beterbiev.

However, despite the defeat, Bivol became the first man to end Beterbiev's 100% KO record. He put in a valiant effort and was a boxer's marauder, but the champion constantly put pressure on him and pushed him back throughout the fight. The judges then unanimously declared the fight a win in favor of Beterbiev, which stunned fans.

Now they are also committing a terrible foul, claiming that Bivol was robbed, while some believe that the judges' scorecards do not reflect the outcome of the competition. However, Bivol doesn't seem to be as responsive as its fan base.

After the fight, the Russian wrestler congratulated Beterbiev and discussed his future plans in boxing.

Suffice it to say, the boxing fraternity had something to say about the result. Some disagreed with the judges' decision, others were unhappy with the action and others praised Beterbiev for his new four-belt status.

“Wow, robbery if you ask me,” controversial boxing star Ryan Garcia wrote on his X account.
