The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Baltimore Ravens were expected to square off in a closely contested matchup, and that was the case for part of Monday. Elsewhere, injuries stole the show and a huge Baltimore Ravens lead will be the talk of the game this week.

Todd Bowles lost both top wide receivers, a decision that confuses many. After the first quarter, the defense no longer looked efficient and lost. Oh, and Liam Coen has proven to be a master at calling plays, but Baker Mayfield and his lack of consistency are proving problematic.

With this disaster of a game behind us, let's do our best and grade their overall performance.

Degree: C

Baker Mayfield had a classic Brett Favre game. He made several big plays, but at the end of the day the bad decisions overshadowed everything. He had two very bad interceptions, but the box score would hide the reasons for his murderous success. He finished the game with 370 passing yards and three touchdowns, most of which came in the fourth quarter, for a total of 24 yards.

Degree: C+

After a game in which we thought they would find renewed success in the run game, it was over against the Ravens. Roquon Smith and the Ravens' front seven proved to be too much and none of them managed more than 40 yards. Rachaad White and Bucky Irving combined for 125 yards and two touchdowns, highlighting the group's accomplishments.

Wide receivers and tight ends

Degree: A

Mike Evans made history early before being sidelined with a hamstring injury coming into the game. Chris Godwin looked great until an ankle injury ended his night with a minute to play and the game was out of control. Cade Otton competed and received 100 yards; He'll need more of it in the future.

Offensive line

Degree: B+

The offense did a good job protecting Baker Mayfield despite giving up four sacks. The hectic lanes were grim and proved to be a significant disappointment for this group. After the best performance in Week 6 against the Saints, it was a mediocre performance.

Defensive line

Degree: B-

They started well with back-to-back sacks on Lamar Jackson during the Ravens' opening drive. After that, the Ravens passing attack had all the time in the world and Derrick Henry had another career night. This defense needs to find some consistency, and quickly.

Linebackers

Oct. 21, 2024; Tampa, Florida, USA; Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Tanner Knue (80) runs with the ball as Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker KJ Britt (52) tackles during the first half at Raymond James Stadium. Degree: C+

Derrick Henry ran for 169 yards of the 244 yards the Ravens had as a team. Henry averaged 11.3 yards per carry, just shy of his career high set in 2017 as a Titan. They had a big task against the NFL's leading rusher, but they couldn't overcome it.

Secondary

Oct. 21, 2024; Tampa, Florida, USA; Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Nelson Agholor (15) runs with the ball while Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Christian Izien (29) defends during the first half at Raymond James Stadium. Degree: C+

Lamar Jackson rushed for 281 yards and tied his career high with five touchdowns. He jumped back into the MVP race, all at the expense of the Bucs' secondary. Oh, and that group, which had already lost Jame Dean before the game, lost Tykee Smith to a concussion during the game. The injuries are piling up and may be too much for the high school and team to overcome.
