“Rams' Stafford continues to solidify his Hall of Fame career.”

“Rams' Stafford continues to solidify his Hall of Fame career.”

It was business as usual for Los Angeles Rams (4-4) quarterback Matthew Stafford on Sunday afternoon. His comeback performance against the Seattle Seahawks (4-5) on Sunday afternoon was a prime example of why this man should be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

With the game on the line in overtime, Stafford led the Rams with a four-play, 83-yard drive to win the ballgame 26-20. He threw the ball on all four plays and completed each pass, capping it off with a 39-yard dart to receiver Demarcus Robinson for the walk-off game-winning goal.

The pass to Robinson marked the 366th touchdown pass of his career, making it into the top ten of all time. He is 15 touchdowns behind Matt Ryan, who is tied for ninth all-time. With his ability to stay healthy and continue to perform at his best, there is no doubt that Stafford deserves this gold jacket.

It is also the 46th winning drive that Stafford has made in his illustrious 16-year career. The second one this season alone. There's something to be said about his poise and his ability to perform in big moments this deep in his career. Only the greats have made it this late in their careers.

Stafford finished the game throwing for 298 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. His 57,718 career passing yards ranks him 10th in all-time career passing yards, just behind Aaron Rodgers (61,162). He is one of the best quarterbacks to ever play football.

After spending his first 12 seasons in Detroit, Stafford became the beloved son of the city of Los Angeles and brought them a Super Bowl ring in 2022. His legacy as a player continues to grow and chapters continue to be written that maintain a high level of performance so deep in his career.

There are few quarterbacks in the NFL the Rams would rather have. Trailing or tied, late in a ballgame, there's one quarterback you can trust to get it done above all others, and that's Stafford. He's addicted to leading game-changing drives and shows no signs of slowing down.
