Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' mother, Randi, made a political statement Monday night during the Chiefs' Week 9 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Randi, wearing a “Make American Great Again” hat, sent a message in a video on social media: “Make American great again, let's do it.”

While Patrick Mahomes has declined to endorse a candidate this election cycle, his family — and other members of the Chiefs organization — haven't been shy about sharing their political opinions.

“I don’t want my seat and my platform to be used to support a candidate or do whatever,” Mahomes said earlier this year. “I think my job is to inform people to register to vote. It’s about educating people, doing their own research and then making the best decision for themselves and their family.”

While Patrick Mahomes took this stance, his wife Brittany seemed to like an Instagram post in support of Trump. She called out the “haters” after receiving backlash for doing so.

“To be a hater as an adult requires you to have deep-rooted issues that you refuse to heal from childhood,” reads a post on Brittany Mahomes’ Instagram Story. “There is no reason why your brain is fully developed and you hate it when other people do well.”

In addition to Brittany's involvement in the election, Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker publicly endorsed Trump at a Josh Hawley for Senate event in October.

“I support the president who will be the most pro-life president,” Butker said. “That is the most important issue for me. I want us to fight for the most vulnerable and for the unborn.”

“That is what we should prioritize and that is obviously what Senator Hawley is doing as a man of faith. You have to vote for the person who is most committed to life. We need to be praying people who put God first, and I think that's it.” What is best for our country?

On the other hand, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce's girlfriend Taylor Swift took to her Instagram to support Kamala Harris for president.

“I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election,” Swift wrote. “I am voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes that I believe need a warrior to represent them. I think she is a steadfast, gifted leader and I believe we can achieve so much more in this country if we are guided by calm and not chaos. I was so encouraged and impressed by her choice of Vice President Tim Walz, who has championed LGBTQ+ rights, IVF and a woman's right to her own body for decades.

The election will take place on Tuesday.
