Packers vs. Texans, week 7 second half discussion thread

Packers vs. Texans, week 7 second half discussion thread

The Green Bay Packers are probably a little lucky that they are only five points behind after the first half they just played. Jordan Love threw two interceptions and the special teams unit parried a punt, giving the Texans 16 points as they held a 19-14 lead at halftime.

The Packers' two touchdowns came on consecutive drives early in the second quarter, one of which started at their own 8-yard line. Both had great throws off the arm of Love, one against Tucker Kraft and one against Dontayvion Wicks. However, Love's two picks cost the Packers dearly, especially the second one, in which the team had a one-point lead and was trying to extend its lead with just a few minutes left in the half.

Meanwhile, Green Bay's defense did its job limiting the passing game of CJ Stroud and the Texans. Houston only has 30 net passing yards total, but their running game has picked up some yards, with Joe Mixon rushing for 81 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries. In fact, Houston only has one scoring drive that didn't follow a Packers turnover, and that one instead came on a long kickoff return and required a long field goal to score those points.

The Packers will play defense to start the second half. So come see if they can stop giving away the football and get back to winning ways.
