Olivia Rodrigo had to be rushed to hospital after her serious fall on stage GUTS world tourwhich she recently completed.

While performing in Melbourne on October 13, the Grammy-winning singer was running across the stage when she accidentally sprinted straight into an open hole. Although she kept her cool at the time, Rodrigo, 21, recently revealed she had to go to hospital after the “terrible” incident.

“I fell, was completely distraught and went to the hospital,” she continued to tell Jimmy Fallon The Tonight Show on Tuesday, October 29th.

“Nothing happened, but they just wanted to make sure I didn’t get a concussion,” Rodrigo explained.

“I mean, the show must go on. This is showbiz, baby,” Rodrigo told Fallon.

Despite the horror, the Good 4 U singer described a “beautiful” twist to the experience as the nurse who looked after her was Filipino – just like her father's side of the family – and shared the same name as her grandfather.

“I thought, 'Wow, he was looking out for me and making sure I didn't get hurt.' And that's why I'm really glad it happened. I think it’s a beautiful story.”
