Olivia Rodrigo has no criminal record, but a border patrol agent recently didn't think so.

Rodrigo was a guest The Tonight Show yesterday, and she told Jimmy Fallon the story of how she was interrogated for a long time at the US-Canada border.

Here is the story in Rodrigo's words:

“We drove from Canada to Portland or something. We were at the border (patrol). I give them my passport and they say, “Okay, whatever.” And they knock on the door and say, “We need Olivia.” And I'm like, “I just played a few shows.” Maybe their daughter would like to an autograph.'

I come out, it's 3 a.m. and I'm delirious, and they take me into a room, and it's an interrogation room, and there's a big cop with a gun. He asks, “Have you ever been arrested?” I say, “No, I haven't been arrested.” He asks, “Are you sure?” I set myself on fire. I'm like, 'Oh my God. Maybe I was arrested and didn’t know it.” (…)

He says, “You know, you could go to prison if you lie to a federal agent like that.” Like, “That's really bad.” I'm freaking out. I think, 'I won't be allowed into America!' I'm so scared. I'm having a panic attack right now.

After 30 minutes of interrogation he looks at me. He says, “What's your name?” And I say, “Olivia Rodrigo, RODRIGO.” And he says, “Oh, there's a girl your age who looks just like you and she's been arrested several times. Her name is Olivia Rodriguez.”

Jimmy, I was pissed. I'm like, 'You didn't look at the name on that thing?'”
