Authorities provide an update after a night of tornadic storms in the Oklahoma City metro.

Scott Douglas with the Oklahoma City Fire Department spoke to News 9 near SE 89th and Sooner on Sunday.

“At this point it is not an emergency rescue. At this time, 11 people have been transported and fortunately non-life-threatening injuries and we have not heard of any fatalities,” said Captain Douglas.

According to authorities, six people from the area of ​​SE 89th and Sooner were treated and transported, and the other five were in the area of ​​SE 44th and Triple X in Choctaw.

“Throughout the day we will be going through all the properties again, making sure everyone is taken care of and that we don't overlook anyone,” Douglas said.
