More fall events in Seattle this weekend

Halloween is coming to an end, but that doesn't mean the fall fun is slowing down!

This weekend, Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, celebrations are taking place across the region. At Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home and Cemetery, 11111 Aurora Ave N in Seattle, you can enjoy a free celebration with vendors, food, music, children's crafts and luminaries honoring your loved ones. This takes place on Friday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Also tonight is the Dia de los Muertos celebration at the Seattle Art Museum, 1300 1st Ave, in Seattle. It's the 30th anniversary of the event and there will of course be food and music, but according to the event's website there will also be “hands-on activities that inspire creativity and learning.” There's also sand painting, salsa music, poetry and more. The Tacoma Art Museum, 1701 Pacific Ave, in Tacoma also hosts a Dia de los Muertos Festival, which features altars, traditional dance performances, art activities, food and more. This event is also free and open to the public!

The Short Run Comix Festival takes place on Saturday at Fisher Pavilion in the Seattle Center. This DIY event continues to grow and features panels, zine creation, screen printing, and of course your chance to purchase some really cool art. You can see comics, buttons, art prints and much more from around 250 artists! Admission is free and takes place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This weekend's celebration at the Seattle Center is all about Diwali! The Diwali Lights of India event features painting, jewelry making, weaving, dancing and much more! If you'd like to learn more about Diwali, check out this free event on Saturday from 12pm to 6pm.

At the Polish Cultural Center the Polish Autumn Bazaar! There will be stalls where you can view jewelry and crystals, pottery, Christmas decorations and much more. Don't worry, you'll also be served all your favorite Polish dishes throughout the day! The festival takes place on Saturday and lasts from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information, visit Polishhome.org.

Seattle Restaurant Week is back! If you've been in the mood to try something new, were hoping for a good deal at a place you've always wanted to try, or perhaps you want a simple date night, there are plenty of options for you! There are various lunch and dinner specials, some starting as low as $20! Seattle Restaurant Week runs through November 9th and there is a full map and list of participating restaurants available at srweek.org.

The Northwest Record Show returns this weekend to the Seattle Center Armory, 305 Harrison St in Seattle. Spend your time browsing crates with other passionate music and vinyl fans. There will be over 50 tables and it won't just be vinyl. CDs, merch, cassettes. This one is for the physical media fans out there. Admission is $3, but the Northwest Record Show is also a food drive with Northwest Harvest! Bring a food item to donate and receive a dollar off your admission. This takes place on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
