MN: Probably Milan XI vs. Monza

MN: Probably Milan XI vs. Monza

Paulo Fonseca is no longer secure in his position at AC Milan and the Portuguese head coach is ready to take risks again.

It's difficult to say exactly how strong Fonseca's position within the club actually is, considering it seems to change with every gameweek. But after a defeat that effectively ended Milan's Scudetto hopes, management informed him that he was no longer completely safe.

Because of this, he will fall into old habits and take risks in his decisions.

Milan News reported this evening that they are prepared to make four changes to the team that lost to Napoli in midweek, half of which will be in defense.

Mike Maignan will keep his position, as will Malick Thiaw, but Filippo Terracciano will be moved to right-back to allow Theo Hernandez back into the team, which is also the case a brave decision in itself. Additionally, Fikayo Tomori will start ahead of Strahinja Pavlovic.

In midfield, Youssouf Fofana is the only survivor, Tijjani Reijnders comes in to support him in the double pivot and they are placed behind Christian Pulisic. This means that Samuel Chukwueze and Noah Okafor will support Alvaro Morata from the wide areas.

Once again, Rafael Leao will remain on the bench, despite previous reports suggesting this in line to return this weekend.

As always ours Pre-game preview is available for the complete overview of the game!

Milan predicted XI against Monza (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Terracciano, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo; Reijnders, Fofana; Chukwueze, Pulisic, Okafor; Morata
