Maye Musk urges women voters to “think for themselves” and strive for a better future

Billionaire Elon Musk's mother warned women that they have been “brainwashed” by the media and need to “think for themselves” when voting on Election Day.

Maye Musk, 76, told Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Friday that while women are extremely smart, many of them can be fooled by biased reporting.

“Don’t be brainwashed into thinking about yourself and a better future,” she said when asked what she would say to women voters before Tuesday.

The tech entrepreneur's 76-year-old mother said this week that when she became a U.S. citizen, she initially registered as a Democrat because she was under the impression that “it was a friendly, caring party.”

However, she lost her trust in Democrats after her Elon bought Twitter in 2023 and gave journalists access to a trove of internal company documents known as “Twitter files” that revealed how the social media platform suppressed conservative posts and users had suppressed.

“The Twitter files came out and they were full of government agencies paying Twitter millions of dollars to remove Republicans from Twitter,” she told Ingraham.

“And I said, 'That's the most dishonest thing you can do, especially since Republicans and Democrats are paying government agency salaries.'”

In a previous interview, Maye Musk explained that her conservative shift was also fueled by liberal media coverage, where she is the Republican, but also her son, who is the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and has become a staunch supporter of Donald Trump, denigrated.

“They also said Elon was terrible, and I was like, 'Why are they lying about Elon?'” she said Thursday on FOX Business' “The Bottom Line.”

Maye Musk also took aim at Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz during her interview with Ingraham, calling the Minnesota governor “pretty silly” just hours before he called her Elon “gay” during the Michigan campaign.

“He's not a pleasant man, he's not very smart and he's pretty silly,” she said of Walz.

“Elon will save America with Trump and all the great people on Trump's team… He can make a difference. It will be better for America.”
