Matt LaFleur is “very concerned” about Jordan Love’s groin injury

Packers quarterback Jordan Love will undergo further medical tests on Monday to determine the extent of his groin injury. Coach Matt LaFleur expressed pessimism about Love's chances of recovering from the injury.

Malik Willis replaced Love in the second half and led the Packers to a final field goal and a 30-27 victory over the Jaguars.

“I don't. I don't know,” LaFleur said when asked about the extent of Love's injury. “But obviously any time there's someone in there (having difficulty getting around), there's a high level of concern that's felt. and he did that right at the start of the first ride. I think everyone could see how he was having trouble moving. It got to a point where we didn't feel like it anymore So I chose Malik and I can't say enough good things about Malik Willis and the work he can do there. The moment is never too big for him. He made a lot of great plays in this game. Not just with my arms, but also with my legs. Just really proud of our boys.”

Love ultimately left the game with 11:31 left in the third quarter after Jaguars defensive end Travon Walker sent the quarterback to the ground.

In Week 1, Love sprained his medial ligament and missed two games. Willis replaced him and won both.

On Sunday, Love went 14 of 22 for 196 yards and one interception.

The Packers play the Lions in an NFC North showdown next Sunday.
