Martha Stewart says neighbor Ryan Reynolds is 'not that funny'

Martha Stewart isn't particularly impressed with her neighbor Ryan Reynolds.

The lifestyle guru, who lives near the Deadpool star and his wife, fellow actress Blake Lively, in Bedford, New York, revealed that Reynolds is “not that fun” off-screen.

Stewart appeared on “Rent Free,” a promotional game show from the credit card loyalty program Bilt Rewards, to guess how program members responded to the question, “Which celebrities would be the most fun to spend time with?”

She correctly guessed that Reynolds was the deciding factor and then skewered him as a choice.

“You want to know something?” she said in a clip shared by TMZ on Saturday. “He’s not that funny in real life. No, he's not that funny. He’s very serious.”

She said she would remove Reynolds from the celebrity list and replace him with “someone else” – specifically George Clooney, “because he's fun.”

However, she acknowledged that Reynolds has talent.

“He’s a good actor,” she said. “He can be funny. But he’s not funny.”

Stewart added: “I’m going to get into trouble. He’s my neighbor.”

After the comments went viral online, Reynolds responded on social media with remarks that could support or refute Stewart's argument, depending on your point of view.

“I wouldn’t agree with her,” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “But I tried that once. The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after about a mile.”
