Luka Doncic returned in the second half of Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves (all times AEDT) after exiting the quarter late in the second quarter with what appeared to be a knee problem.

Doncic appeared unable to put any weight on his right leg after Jaden McDaniels collided with the back of his knee.

The Mavs superstar scored a fast-break basket before exiting the game and was helped to the locker room by teammate Markieff Morris.

Doncic scored 13 points and six assists in 19 minutes as Dallas led 61-59 at halftime.

“He's such a great player, I hope he's okay and it's just a little strain,” NBA legend Charles Barkley said at halftime on TNT.

In the other games on Wednesday, the Denver Nuggets are in Brooklyn, Sacramento visits Utah and New Orleans travels to the Golden State.

The Warriors, who are without Steph Curry (ankle), made a bold change to their lineup, moving Jonathan Kuminga to the bench.
