Live Updates: Eagles vs. Saints

The Eagles are back in action today, away from home, against the New Orleans Saints.

After losing to the Falcons on Monday Night Football, the team will now look to get back on track against the undefeated Saints, who celebrated a 44-19 victory over the Cowboys last week.

Follow us here for live updates, stats and highlights as the game progresses.

  • The Saints got the ball first and ran an offense that lasted 8:09 minutes before settling for a 10-yard field goal. Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave were the main players in the offense – Kamara had eight carries for 18 yards and Olave caught three balls for 36 yards.
  • The Eagles' first drive did not go according to plan – the team was 3-and-out, with Jalen Hurts being sacked by Alontae Taylor on 3rd-and-11 for a loss of eight yards.
  • The Eagles offense gained momentum after Hurts found Dallas Goedert further down the field for a 43-yard gain that brought them to the Saints 13-yard line.
  • The momentum of the big play didn't last long, however, as Hurts was intercepted in the end zone by safety Tyrann Mathieu and carried back for 23 yards.
  • Hurts had his second turnover of the game when he ran out of the pocket and Carl Granderson stripped him of the ball after the Saints' Willie Gay recovered the ball.
  • Quinyon Mitchell prevented a potential touchdown by forcing an incomplete pass on a deep throw from Carr intended for Rashid Shaheed in the end zone.
  • Lane Johnson was taken out of the game for Fred Johnson, who had to go to the locker room. Tyler Steen also replaced Mekhi Becton at right guard.
  • The Eagles were still looking for a point when they ran the two-minute drill. Hurts ripped off a 21-yard run that brought them to the Saints' 48.
