Kirk Herbstreit raves about the Alabama football game days and the Bryant-Denny experience

College football networks broadcast a lot of games, so sometimes they can all be on together. Not on Saturday evening. Not if you witnessed it Alabama vs. Georgia Competition.

Several analysts and ESPN have already declared it one of the best games they have ever seen Kirk Herbstreit had high and unique praise for Alabama.

“Lazy Sunday, watching NFL football and still thinking about the atmosphere from last night” Herbstreit tweeted on Sunday afternoon. “Our team is incredibly honored to be able to call these games. Games Ops (Alabama football) should be a mandatory clinic session for every stadium in North America!”

Herbstreit included a video showing the stadium's light show during the game, adding a special touch to the atmosphere on Saturday night.

And if the lighting and controls weren't enough to completely impress you, the game itself certainly did the job.

Alabama took an early 28-0 lead in the game and it looked like the Crimson Tide would win the game. Not as fast as with Herbstreit College game day Co-host Lee Corso would say.

Georgia stormed back and even took a narrow lead in the fourth quarter before Alabama finally responded and put the game away. But it led ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum declares it the best SEC game he's ever seen.

“I have covered the SEC for more than 40 years,” Finebaum said. “You can see it here, but I think this is the best SEC college football game I’ve seen in all my years. I know we often get stuck on being prisoners of the moment, but it’s an exaggeration to say we are in this case.”

He then explained why it was such a compelling competition.

“You saw the trail. You saw the comeback. You've seen the end. It had everything you could have, including the fact that we have this rivalry in the SEC, two of the best teams in the country that may or may not play again. There was absolutely everything,” Finebaum said.

“What Kirby Smart said is correct, that applies to both schools, no one left anything on the field. They did their best and when you ask who is the better team, the better team won, but next time it could be different.”

All in all, a very special Saturday in Alabama.
