Vice President Kamala Harris will return to Wisconsin on Wednesday for a “Get Out the Vote” rally at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, just days before the Nov. 5 election.

According to the campaign, the rally will feature performances by Gracie Abrams, Mumford & Sons, Remi Wolf and The National's Matt Berninger and Aaron Dessner.

The event comes as Harris and former President Donald Trump each make a final attempt to win votes in this key swing state before they face off in their White House bids on November 5.

The effort to mobilize UW-Madison students and Dane County voters comes about a month after Harris visited the Wisconsin capital for the first time since her presidential campaign began in July.

Former President Barack Obama rallied the liberal base in Madison last week on the first day of early voting.

The visits underscore Dane County's increasing importance in elections as its population grows and surpasses others across the state.

Harris' event will also come two days before Trump's plans to hold a rally in downtown Milwaukee, another Democratic stronghold that Trump's campaign has nevertheless invested in at the urging of leading Republicans in the state. It also comes on the same day that Trump holds an evening campaign rally in the Green Bay suburb of Ashwaubenon.

As the state's two largest population centers, Dane and Milwaukee counties are also home to many Republicans due to their sheer size.

Harris attended a campaign rally in Brookfield on Monday evening, where she made a pitch to undecided voters alongside former Republican U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney.
