Global casting program “Universe League,” co-produced by SBS and F&F Entertainment, introduced its MC and team leaders on Tuesday.

The program's official social media channels unveiled posters and trailer videos featuring MC Jay Park and team leaders: BTOB's Lee Chang-sub, GOT7's Yugyeom, producer El Capitxn, and WayV's Ten and Yangyang. These K-pop stars will lead their own team of trainees.

In the “Universe League” a total of 42 participants fight for a place in a global boy band. The show is the sequel to “Universe Ticket” (2023-4), from which the girl group UNIS emerged. In contrast to its predecessor, in “Universe League” one team is crowned winner.

BTOB singer Lee Chang-sub will lead “Team Groove.”

“Lee is known for his strong vocal abilities and will bring his experience as a performer and expertise in training,” F&F Entertainment said in a press release.

Yugyeom will lead “Team Beat”. He previously won the dance competition show “Hit the Stage” in 2016. K-pop producer El Capitxn will join Yugyeom as the team's producer.

WayV members Ten and Yangyang will serve as leaders for “Team Rhythm.” Since these K-pop artists are from Thailand and Taiwan, “they will represent international K-pop idols, in keeping with the global reach of this show, which will feature international participants,” the press release said.

Jay Park will be the sole MC. Last year he hosted the music show “The Seasons”.

“Artists making significant strides in the K-pop scene have come together with the common goal of creating a global boy band,” F&F Entertainment said. “They will help participants realize their potential and demonstrate their skills in this survival competition.”

The show will premiere on November 22nd.
