Ja Morant makes a frustrated statement after the Grizzlies lose to the Nets

Ja Morant is considered one of the calmest and coolest players in the NBA. It's rare for Morant to show a moment of pure frustration, but that's exactly what happened on Wednesday night after the Grizzlies suffered a disappointing loss to the Brooklyn Nets.

Following the Grizzlies' loss to the Nets, Morant expressed frustration with the team's injuries and inability to build chemistry on the court. Additionally, Morant was frustrated with the narrative surrounding NBA players missing games.

“It’s hard,” Morant said. “Every time I play a game and the next time I sit down, people say, 'Oh, you're soft, or you're not that, or you're not that.' Then you start sitting outside longer than you want. Then it's like, “Oh, he should have sat outside.” That's what we get for it, people out here. You want me to play every game, so see you tomorrow.”

If there's one team that has had the worst stretch of injuries over the last two seasons, it's the Memphis Grizzzlies. Last season, the Grizzlies set a record for most players used due to the overwhelming number of injuries.

Tonight is just the sixth regular season game for the Memphis Grizzlies, and yet they already have six players listed on their injury report. So far this season has been a brutal continuation of last season's bad luck with injuries.
