Ivanka Trump posted a 17-point thread on X-Monday – a day before Americans decide whether her father deserves another shot at the presidency – that is not filled with detailed reasons why he would be more worthy of the office as vice president Kamala Harris, but with non-political “life lessons”.

Trump has said she wants to avoid politics, and that has largely remained that way since she left her role as a White House adviser when her father's term ended nearly four years ago. Except for the final night of the Republican National Convention in July, which was reportedly held in private, she has not appeared at a single campaign event for him.

And in rare media appearances, she said politics is “a pretty dark world” and “contrary to what feels good to me as a human being.”

In Monday's post, which she also wrote on Instagram, her father is not singled out once and no partisan stance is taken. She begins by saying, “Family and friends are everything.”

The post came hours before her father Donald took the stage at a rally in Pittsburgh on the eve of Election Day, where the 78-year-old, surrounded by children Don Jr., Eric and Tiffany Trump, still praised his missing daughter. “Ivanka is great. She watches, she loves it, she loves the whole thing,” he said.

Although there was no mention of elections, Ivanka's long list includes advice on topics such as life, friends and diet, as well as quotes from Indian-born American entrepreneur Naval Ravikant and Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius.

Other items on her list include: “forgiving people,” “being open to the truth wherever it leads,” and “approaching people and life with love and positivity.”

“Here’s to another year full of growth, love and meaningful moments! ❤️✨,” she concluded the message by noting that she recently turned 43. Her birthday was October 30th.

Posting about it and about “some truths” five days later — hours before voters go to the polls — seems the closest thing to a political statement she’s willing to make.
