The post claimed that the two were returning for a celebratory occasion Home alone Sequel streaming on Disney+ in December 2024. The site also shared a description of the film, stating that it will revolve around Kevin McCallister and his mother, who arrive at their family's remote cabin.

But when they get there, they find that the rest of their family will be delayed in reaching the cabin because their flight is delayed. The description went on to say that Marv and Harry, the antagonists of the original 1990 film, would target the cabin, leading to a showdown between them and the mother-son duo.

The post garnered over 50,000 reactions and many fans seemed to believe it.
