India vs New Zealand Live Score, 3rd Test Day 3: Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja stabilize India's fightback after early setbacks

India vs New Zealand Live Score 3rd Test Day 3: Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin played crucial roles as India took control on the second day of the third Test against New Zealand. New Zealand were struggling at 171/9 at stumps and had a slender lead of just 143 runs. Jadeja's excellent performance of 4-52 in the second innings contributed to his nine-wicket haul in the game while Ashwin added 3-63.

Earlier, India were bowled out for 263 in their first innings with Shubman Gill top-scoring with a well-made 90 supported by Rishabh Pant's 60. The duo put together an important 96-run partnership in the fifth wicket after India were in trouble at 86/4.

Washington Sundar added a valuable 38 and hit four fours and two sixes. New Zealand left-arm spinner Ajaz Patel continued his impressive form at the Wankhede Stadium taking 5-103, taking 19 wickets in just three innings at the venue.

New Zealand's second innings stalled early, with Tom Latham, Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra cheaply dismissed, leaving them at 44/3.

Will Young (51) and Daryl Mitchell offered some resistance with a 50-run stand before Jadeja and Ashwin continued to break away at the halfway line. Glenn Phillips showed some aggression with three sixes but was bowled by Ashwin for 26. Jadeja ended the day by dismissing Matt Henry, leaving New Zealand with a precarious lead and just one wicket in hand.

Despite New Zealand's crucial victories in the first two Tests in Bengaluru and Pune, India's top players have put them under considerable pressure in this game as they look for a consolation win.
