Multiple users in the United States reported that streaming service provider Hulu experienced an outage on Thursday evening, even though several MLB, NFL, college football and soccer games were being streamed live.

“2 playoff baseball games, NFL, college football and @hulu just stopped working,” said one angry user. “If this isn't fixed within 2 minutes, I'll switch to YouTube TV. This is a damn joke and a waste of money.”

The Down Detector platform, which tracks such outages live based on user reports, saw an upward trend in reports: 75% reported problems streaming video, while 25% had problems logging in.

Meanwhile, a user who had trouble logging in wrote: “AAArgh. That's it. I’m done with this.” Hulu Live TV. Once again we've been kicked out of Hulu and can't log back in. And we have the Disney package. I also can't sign in to ESPN+. So no Islanders game.”

“It’s Game 4 of the NLCS. Draw 1:1. Not cool. For the second time this week! Although the first time it happened, the Mets won, so maybe this is a fluke,” one user wrote.

One person even threatened a class action lawsuit against Hulu.

“Dear @hulu, welcome to my class action lawsuit. I pay $100 and you lose in the playoff baseball games? I want $1,000,000 in punitive damages,” the user wrote.

Disney-owned Hulu's support team responded to several users' comments and suggested an alternative “workaround” in the meantime.

“Sorry for the inconvenience!” they wrote. “Our team is aware of this behavior and we are working to get you back to your favorite content as quickly as possible. In the meantime, try: https://hulu.tv/TVEverywhere as a possible workaround!”

This is a developing story.
