“He’s not funny” in real life

Burn! Martha Stewart doesn't think Ryan Reynolds is particularly funny.

Although he is known for his comedic acting roles, Reynolds, 48, lacks comedic skills, according to Stewart, 83, who is also the Deadpool & Wolverine star's neighbor.

The legendary housewife shared her thoughts on Reynolds while appearing as a special guest on Bilt Rewards' November game show “Rent Free.” The game show, similar to “Family Feud,” will stream on the rewards company’s mobile app.

When Stewart was asked which celebrities she thought respondents would most like to spend time with, she told Bilt CEO and founder Ankur Jain, 34, that she was confident her close friend Snoop Dogg was at the top of the list .

The cookbook queen then said Reynolds would likely be a popular choice, too.

“He's probably only on the list because he covers up in his movies and you don't see his face – Ryan Reynolds, is he one of them?” Stewart asked.

“And you want to know something? He’s not that funny in real life,” she added. “No, he’s not that funny. He’s very serious.”

Stewart went on to say that she would choose Brad Pitt and George Clooney because “I would like to hang out with those guys.”

When Jain brought up Taylor Swift's name, Stewart went all-in on the “Fortnight” singer. “I was only thinking about men,” she said, explaining why she hadn’t given her a name. “Taylor Swift is wonderful.”

With Taylor in mind, Stewart put Swift at the top of her list, while Snoop Dogg took second place.

“Then I would take Ryan away and put someone else in,” she said.

When asked by Jain who she would add, Stewart replied: “George Clooney, because he's fun. “It's really nice to hang out with George.”

After Jain Stewart said he was surprised she didn't find Reynolds funny, she provided additional context to her opinion.

“He’s a good actor,” she said. “He can be funny, but he’s not funny. Maybe he can be funny again.”

Perhaps realizing how interesting her remarks would be, she added, “I'm going to get in trouble. He’s my neighbor.”

Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively, 37, have a home in Bedford, NY, near Stewart's famous farm.

Stewart joined Bilt's “Rent Free” game show as she continued her tour promoting her new cookbook, “Martha: The Cookbook: 100 Favorite Recipes with Lessons and Stories from My Kitchen,” released Oct. 22.
