Here's your Halloween and trick-or-treating weather forecast for Milwaukee

With Halloween falling on a Thursday this year, many communities throughout the Milwaukee area are hosting their official trick-or-treat festivities over the weekend.

The weather forecast looks pleasant and sunny for the weekend, while rain is possible on Thursday. Here's what you should know:

Trick or Treat Weather Forecast for the Milwaukee Area

Most communities in Milwaukee, Ozaukee and Washington counties, including the city of Milwaukee and its suburbs, hold their trick-or-treating hours on Saturday or Sunday.

Saturday in Milwaukee is expected to be sunny, with an afternoon high near 55 degrees, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Most trick-or-treating times are between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. In Milwaukee, NWS says it will be 54 at 2 p.m. and 47 at 8 p.m

Sunday's weather is expected to be similar – sunny with a high of 60 degrees in Milwaukee. Most trick-or-treating times are between 1 and 7 p.m. NWS says it will be at 1:58 p.m. and 7:53 p.m

Milwaukee Halloween Weather Forecast

Since it's almost a week away, it's hard to say for sure what the weather in Milwaukee will be like on Halloween Day on Thursday.

However, NWS forecasts likely rain early this morning, tapering off by the afternoon. Precipitation chances increase throughout Wednesday night, peaking at about 70% Thursday morning. According to AccuWeather, the chance of precipitation is expected to drop to 25% by the afternoon and 17% by the evening. A high of around 60 is expected for Milwaukee on Thursday.

When does trick-or-treating take place in Milwaukee, Shorewood, Wauwatosa, Brookfield, Waukesha and other nearby communities?

Most communities in Milwaukee, Ozaukee and Washington counties will host their official 2024 Trick-or-Treating Hours on Saturday, October 26th or Sunday, October 27th.

Trick-or-treating will take place in some Waukesha County communities on Halloween, Thursday, October 31st. Other communities in the county will be hosting weekend trick-or-treating.
