The University of Georgia Athletic Association will host “10K Day” for the Georgia volleyball game against South Carolina on Friday, October 11th at Stegeman Coliseum. The game will be the Bulldogs' SEC home opener.

“10K Day” aims to set a program attendance record and surpass the current total of 4,022 against Georgia Tech earlier this season. Additionally, the Bulldogs hope to break the Georgia state record for an NCAA volleyball game, which stood at 5,303 during the Georgia vs. Georgia Tech game on September 15, 2023 at Tech's McCamish Pavilion.

Georgia volleyball returns from a weekend at Auburn and Alabama, where its overall season record was 6-7. The Bulldogs are 3-1 at home this year and are looking to pick up their first SEC win of the season on 10K Day.

Before Friday's game, the Bulldogs will host a block party outside Stegeman Coliseum with a DJ, food trucks, balloon artists, face painters and bounce houses.

Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with first serve at 7:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear black on Friday and admission is free at all home volleyball games in Georgia.

The first 30 fans at Gate A will sit courtside and receive free food, while the first 2,000 University of Georgia students will receive free black T-shirts commemorating 10K Day. During the game, Georgia Volleyball also invites alumni to be recognized on the court.

Additional promotions are still to be announced, and programs such as the Georgia women's soccer team and the UGA Student Government Association have promoted the event on social media.

Fans can park for free at the Carlton Street and South Campus parking decks on Friday, and Georgia football hosts Mississippi State at Sanford Stadium the following day.
